The Studio@620 is the brainchild of Artistic Directors David Ellis and Bob Devin Jones, along with a host of hard-working board members, volunteers, patrons,
and visionaries. The idea grew out of a core belief that art and diversity play a crucial role in the lives of individuals and communities.
Saying yes to bringing creativity, innovation and diversity to our community.
To provide a place where people can experience artistic and educational programs in innovative ways.
To bring people from diverse cultural backgrounds and experiences together as artists, audiences and volunteers.
To work collaboratively with artistic, educational, and cultural organizations in and beyond our community.
To develop artistic and educational programs that integrate a variety of art forms in order to encourage new cultural experiences both for the audience and the
artists.
The Studio@620 is a creative visual and performing arts center located in the heart of Downtown St.
No, but there is abundant street parking around our location!
The Studio@620 offers open seating so you can choose your favorite place when you arrive. Being an intimate venue, there really are no bad seats
so you can’t go wrong!
Generally The Studio@620 is open 30 minutes prior to posted start time for events.
Performances are open to all ages, but we request young people under 18 be accompanied by an adult. Please note some events may not be
appropriate for all audiences. These rare occurrences are noted as such in the event description.
The Studio@620 participates in Second Saturday Artwalk which is an extra opportunity to see an exhibit outside of the official opening reception.
Additionally, we are happy to make an appointment for you to see an exhibit. Contact us and we will make arrangements with you.
It is rare that we get cancellations for event tickets. Occasionally we can offer standing room options. If you’re willing to take a chance, come to the
door and check with our staff to see if anything is available.
The Studio@620 can offer a refund for tickets IF notified via email at least two business days in advance of the performance. Refunding tickets
affects the performers’ take home pay so we need to have time to resell the tickets. If you have a last minute cancellation we can issue you a
donation receipt for the unused tickets. Alternatively, you can give your tickets to someone else who can attend in your place.
Please fill out the submit your work form on our website. We receive numerous requests and have limited availability on the calendar, but we do our
best to accommodate as many creative projects as possible.
Please see the Rent our Space page of our website. Your rental fee includes use of whatever tables or chairs we have on hand but most often
you’ll need to rent some things. Our staff can help guide you but we recommend working with a wedding planner to help manage details beyond
securing the space.
The Studio@620 recommends wearing a mask while inside the building during events. This is to protect our unmasked performers who cannot
be masked while sharing their talents.
