Strive Publishing’s mission is to inspire community collaboration in publishing stories to heal, teach, learn, and earn, while building an ecosystem
that embodies a rich Black culture and heritage.
Strive Publishing’s vision is a world where Black narratives are centered, valued, and empowered for freedom, equity, and justice.
Strive Community Publishing prioritizes investing in Black authors from the Minneapolis/St.Paul, Minnesota area.
Manuscripts that inspire strengthening relationships across cultures and generations are also welcome. We will read
and review un-agented manuscripts and proposals for all types of books, from children’s picture books to adult
memoirs.
The most common reason a manuscripts gets denied for publishing by Strive is a lack of manuscript preparation. Be
sure to watch our Video Tutorials and follow the careful steps outlined in “Preparing your manuscript” video before
sending us your manuscript. If you feel confident that you’ve followed these steps but your manuscript was denied,
please send an email to info@strivepublishing.com and we will do our best to provide you with more information.
