At the age of 14, Dr. Adebola Nnewihe received medical care for burns at the Shriner’s Institute for Crippled Children in Cincinnati, Ohio. The life changing impact
of the doctors that cared for her, inspired her interest in medicine. Her experiences as a patient for many years taught her a deeper level of compassion.
Dr. Nnewihe graduated from Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine in Ohio, which consistently ranks among the top medical schools in the country.
She went on to complete her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
Upon graduation, she was recruited by her residency program, hired as an Attending Physician and appointed a Clinical Instructor with the University. In addition to
seeing her private patients, she dedicated time to academics, research, teaching, and supervising residents.
Dr. Nnewihe strives to maintain excellence by practicing evidence-based medicine and staying at the forefront of medical advancement. She is Board Certified by
the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology, a member of the American Congress of Obstetricians and Gynecologist, and a member of the American
Medical Association.
Dr. Nnewihe has special interests in the areas of adolescent sexual and reproductive health, authoring a chapter on the topic in an online textbook (Public Health
Management and Policy). She specializes in minimally invasive laparoscopic gynecologic surgery and offers many office and same day procedures for the
treatment of symptomatic fibroids and irregular painful cycles.
Dr. Nnewihe has been practicing in South Jersey since 2009.
