CreativeSoul Photography believes that everyone deserves to truly be seen, so we go beyond just capturing beautiful snapshots.
We create thought-provoking imagery showcasing kids across the African Diaspora by bringing to life past, present, and future visions of black culture to create a society where all kids are created equally and feel empowered to move in the world as their true authentic self.
How do you find your models?
We truly adore the kids we work with, but we are actual working photographers (not an agency) who
make a living from our photography. Most (ie 95%) of the kids on our site and social media pages are
actual clients who book sessions with us (not models). For booking info visit the contact page here
(serious inquiries only please). We do have an ongoing model call form here if you’d like to submit,
but castings are extremely limited.
Where can I find pricing for your child shoots?
We offer headshot/portfolio sessions starting at $995 and full custom creative/AfroArt sessions
starting at $2395. Our travel mini sessions are $1895. Please contact us to receive more information
about package details.
Do you ever have model calls? How can my child model for you?
We rarely take on models unless we are in need of something particular for a client or for a personal
shoot. To be honest, it’s a bit like playing the lotto – the chances of getting a free shoot with us are
slim, but you are welcome to add your child to our model database here to be considered for the future.
I am not located in the Atlanta area. How can I participate?
Our current travel dates are listed on our travel page. Our 2021 travel dates are sold out and we are
only shooting in the Atlanta area for the remaining part of the year. We will announce 2022 travel dates
in January. Most locations sell out solely from our waiting list (before we can even post on social media),
so make sure you are on the waiting list for your area if you are interested in doing a session with us by
joining your area’s waiting list. Full/custom sessions are available in the Atlanta area year-round.
Do you offer sibling discounts?
Siblings can be added for 50% off of the session price for the additional session. If you have more than
3 kids, contact us for a custom quote.
Who styles the children in your photographs? Is styling/ hair/ makeup included?
Our AfroArt/creative sessions are styled by us. All sessions with us include hair/light makeup. We will
generally guide you on the clothing to bring and style the child on set for custom sessions. For creative
travel sessions, clothing is included so all you’ll need to do is show up.
What's the difference between your travel sessions and custom sessions?
Our travel sessions are typically mini sessions which are discounted from our full custom sessions. They
are 1 look sessions and are generally hands off when it comes to planning. We will come up with one
theme that day for everyone and each child will receive a different clothing/hair look. For the most part,
our parents book the session and just show up and let us work our magic.
Our custom child sessions require a bit more planning as we typically come up with a custom theme for
your child based on interests/needs. We will start with a questionnaire to learn more about your child
and your session needs and develop a custom concept for your shoot. Although clothing is not included,
we will do virtual wardrobe styling to guide you on what to bring/purchase for your shoot. We will style
and add accessories on set. Our custom sessions include up to 3 clothing looks and 2 hair looks. For
our industry kids, you are welcome to use one of the looks for agency headshots/portfolio photos if needed.
My city is not listed. Can you come to my area?
Our photo sessions require a good amount of planning and coordination, so if you are interested in
having us do child sessions in your area we typically require at least 7 booked sessions to make it
worth the trip (travel child sessions are $1595 ea/USA only). Many of our clients will gather up a few
family/friends who are interested in booking in a location that’s not on our travel list. International travel
will be considered on a case-by-case basis and will be quoted separately. Contact us here if you are
interested in having us come to an area not listed.
Do you photograph teens, adults or toddlers?
Unfortunately no. We currently work only with kids ages 4-13 and brands. We do NOT photograph
babies/toddlers, adult models, families, weddings, events, etc. No exceptions.
How can I purchase books, prints or calendars?

How can I get my child into modeling?
The best route to go is to submit a snapshot or clear headshot to an agency so that the agent can guide you.

Do you only photograph African-American/ afro hair kids?
Although our brand focuses on empowerment for African-American kids, our doors are open to anyone
nterested in having us photograph their child. We are creative souls (pun intended) at heart, so I’m sure
we will come up with something fabulous.
